The karts will all be brand new Parolin chassis powered by a Honda engine producing 14 horsepower at 5,000 RPM. In place of the safety bar is a specially designed reinforced side pod.

What do I need to bring for the race

  • Pass-port: Make sure your passport is current and does not expire while in Portugal.  There is no visa required.  If you don’t have a pass-port allow four weeks to have one made. (recommend looking on the United States Postal website for authorized Passport locations).

  • Money: In Portugal everything is paid using Euro.

  • Racing licenses: This is a CIK event and requires each competitor to have a competition license. Any level of racing license will do (SCCA, WKA).  If you need assistance, call us and we'll assist.

  • Transportation: Once at the hotel, we have made plans to transport you to and from the hotel. However, it is highly recommended to get a rental car as we unfortunately, cannot provide transportation to extra-curricular activities outside of the scheduled ones.  If you would like your own rental Eurocar would be a potential company to contact.

  • Racing Gear: Here is what you need to bring for racing gear.  What you don’t have you can purchase from us at the listed price.  All but the helmet can be purchased in Portugal.  The helmet needs to be shipped to you before departure to Portugal.

    • Suit.  As you know, we will be supplying custom-designed driving suits.  If you would like to keep it you can purchase your new suit for $250.00.  Your name will also be embroidered into the suit.

    • Helmet – $135.00

    • Karting gloves – $20.00

    • Rib protectors – two models $40.00 and $60.00

    • Neck Collars – If you wish you can bring a neck collar, however they are not required in Portugal – $20.00

Driving directions from the airport to the track:

From Lisbon Airport to Kartódromo de Évora:

Note: it might be helpful to put Your daily Km. Counter (milage) on 0. All the distances we refer to are counted from the garage.

  • When leaving the rental car garage turn right
  • Follow the sign for “City Center”
  • Follow the signs for A1 Norte
  • After 800 meters (1/2 mile) You will enter into a big rotary,

      take the 5th exit, direction A1 Norte, A12 Sul

  • After 3.5 Km (2 miles), take exit 14, A12 SUL, Pte. V. Gama - You will pass a big bridge
  • After 20 Km You will see the first sign Evora keep on going in the direction of Évora, and after 120 Km (75 miles) take exit 5, Evora
  • Go to direction Évora, You will see a gas station on your right, 4 Km. (2.5 miles) after you have left the Highway
  • 800 meters (1/4 mile) after the gas station, you will see the Kartódromo de Évora on Your right

How to get to Evora Hotel from the track

From Kartódromo de Évora to Evora Hotel:

  • The hotel is located on the same road as the Kartódromo race track.
  • Leave the Kartódromo and turn right.
  • After 5 Km (3 miles), you will see the Evora hotel on your right. (The road changes from 2 lanes into 4 lanes).
  • Turn right into the hotel Parking Place.
