Endurance Karting 24 Hours of America

One of motorsports’ most challenging and exciting events is coming to America, and you’re invited to participate!  The Endurance Karting 24 hours of America

Endurance Karting will host its first-ever 24-hour race Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 6-7, 2007, at Moroso Motorsports Park in West Palm, Fla., USA.

This world-class event has already drawn interest from competitors in America and beyond, making this truly an international event that will showcase the best endurance kart racers in the world.

Anyone who has competed in a 24-hour event knows such events test skill, patience, wits and strategy, and leave participants with an unmatched sense of accomplishment.  Part of the challenge of this event will come from the track itself.  Moroso Motorsports Park’s 13 turns, 8/10 of a mile (1,280 meters) try the abilities of even the most proven racer.

This is not a “professionals-only” event.  Racers of all skill and experience levels are encouraged to race.  This is a great chance for professional endurance racing teams to prepare and practice driver rotations for the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring.  Amateur racers can gain experience and find out what it’s like to compete against the best endurance racers in the world.  However, realizing the demands this event will have on a driver, we ask that competitors have some experience in order to participate.

To participate in the 24 Hours of America, drivers must have some go-kart or automobile racing experience or have competed in at least two previous Endurance Karting events.  Use the 2006 season to gain experience or seat time in preparation for this 24-hour marathon.  Competing with Endurance Karting in 2006 truly pays, as your fee for the 24 Hours of America will be adjusted based on participation frequency (see list below for details).

FAQ's(updated 9/1/06)

Q: Am I responsible for any liability?

A: No, you are not responsible for any damage to the kart. Unlike any other racing series, you only pay your entry fee and are not held responsible for kart damage.

Q: What if it rains?

A: Endurance Karting runs in the rain, and it is fun! It is all about incorporating strategy to get maximum laps on the track.  That being said, Florida historically receives its least amount of rain in January.

Q: Are all karts equal?

A: Yes! All the karts are professionally race prepared and engines are tuned using electronic equipment.

Q: Can I make changes to the kart?

A: Teams are only allowed to change the steering wheel.   As this is a drivers series, kart set-up, maintenance and refueling during the race is performed by Endurance Karting mechanics only. All you have to do is to focus on the driving and the race strategy (the fun stuff). In the end, the victory will go to the team with the most consistent drivers and the best pit stop strategy.

Q: What happens if my kart breaks down?

A:  You will get a spare kart equipped with your transponder with which to complete laps until your kart is fixed.

Q: What is included?

A: The entry fee includes everything: the use of the kart, gas, tires, professional mechanics, insurance and the registration fee. All you are responsible for is the food and bringing your competitive spirit.

Q: Can I sign up alone?

A: Yes, absolutely. Just enter your name and you will be mixed with other drivers who are unable to put an entire team together. We average 12 to 20 individuals per race whom we match up and place on teams.  This is also a good way to meet new racing friends.

Q: Who do I contact if I have further questions?

A: Please call us at 704-992-2812 or contact us on our e-mail form with any questions that you have. By contacting us, you will also receive information about upcoming events.

Q: We are an International Team traveling from abroad, how do we go about signing up?

A: We have a speciall entry form our international teams.  Please use the following email for international teams to request your entry form.  In your email please tell us your name and where you are coming from.
