Grand Finale to our 2006 Race Season:

It is appropriate that our final 2006 race would mark our closest race yet.  At the 5 hour mark, the top 6 teams were still on the same lap.  Not only was the race close by the top 6 teams, but fastest lap changed over 11 times between 4 different teams.  The overall win was taken by SLO Motorsports and fastest lap was taken by David Ragan Racing.  Teams and drivers represented FL, CA, TX, CT, IL, GA, VA, NY, KY, TN, MA, NJ and more.

Team Racing for a Cure raises Big Money!  

Jeff Keehler entered our Moroso 6 Hour race with a goal, to raise money for cancer research, to honor his wife's successful battle with Cancer (she just had her last chemo treatment!).  At the driver’s meeting, Jeff announced that he was coming into the race having raised $17.00 per lap.  With this announcement, the lovable bus guys (regular Florida racers with us who always come in costume) immediately spoke up with a donation of an incredible $1,000.00.  By the end of the race, Team Karting for a Kure, made up of Jeff, his son Garrett and Pro Racer Terry Borcheller, had collected an additional $2,000.00.  Congratulations to Jeff Keehler for raising just shy of $8,000.00!!!

Karts are getting prepared for the 24 hour race, January 5-7, 2007.  The new engines are on and where broken in during the December 6 hour race.  The Endurance Karting has been working hard since Saturday nights 6 hour race to fine tune the engines and prepare for all new tires on the karts.  Race packets for registered teams will be sent out the second week in December, having details such as local restaurants, menus, grocery stores and hours, Park lot and RV assignments, etc.  It’s not to late too sign up if you haven’t already.  See our details for the 24 hour race at: http://www.endurancekarting.com/24HoursofAmerica.html
